Brooks’s Law states that adding more programmers to a delayed project will make it even more delayed. Commonly stated as:

Nine women cannot have a baby in a month.

For stakeholders obsessed with achieving “quick wins” while ignoring everything else, I created the reverse relationship:

In nine months, you can have a baby or nine little mice.

Let’s call it the Bustelo-Brooks Law.
